The Biography of Acharya Vinoba Bhave is the brief life sketch of a great social reformer and spiritual teacher who was considered the next to Mahatma Gandhi.

आचार्य विनोबा भावे की जीवनी एक ऐसे महान समाज सुधारक एवं आध्यात्मिक गुरु की संक्षिप्त जीवन गाथा है जिनको प्रायः महात्मा गाँधी का आध्यात्मिक उत्त राधिकारी माना जाता है। उन्होंने अल्पायु में ही गृहत्याग कर दिया था और अपनी आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान की पिपासा को शांत करने के लिये अनेक प्राचीन वेद गं्रथों का अध्ययन किया।
वे महात्मा गाँधी से बहुत प्रभावित थे और एक शिष्य के रूप में उनके आश्रम में आए थे। वे गाँधीजी के अनेक रचनात्मक कार्यक्रमों में गहनता से शामिल रहे।
विनोबा व्यक्तिगत सत्याग्रह और भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन में भी प्रमुखता से शामिल थे। भारत की स्वतंत्रता के पश्चात् जब महात्मा गाँधी की हत्या हो गई थी तो अनेक लोगों द्वारा विनोबा को ही उनका उत्त राधिकारी माना गया किंतु वे राजनीति से दूर ही रहे।
उन्होंने भारत-भर में भूदान एवं सर्वोदय आंदोलन आरंभ किये और चम्बल घाटी के अनेक दुर्दांत डाकुओं को भी आत्मसमर्पण करने और जीवन को सुधारने हेतु प्रेरित किया।
पुस्तक में उनके जीवन का अत्यंत रोचक विवरण है कि कैसे महाराष्ट्र के एक छोटे-से गाँव का साधारण बालक बड़ा होकर एक इतना महान व्यक्ति बन गया कि उसे महान महात्मा गाँधी का आध्यात्मिक उत्त राधिकारी माना जाने लगा।
